Where It All Started
De Castro Moda was born from a desire to create garments that speak beyond trends. Founded by Virginia Borrero de Castro, a Colombian designer with a deep love for culture and craftsmanship, the brand began as a personal journey—a celebration of artistry, heritage, and self- expression through clothing.
From Colombia to India
Our story crosses continents. Rooted in the vibrancy of Latin America and brought to life in India, De Castro Moda is a rare fusion of Colombian creativity and Indian mastery. Every piece is a reflection of this cultural dialogue—bold, soulful, and globally inspired.

Reviving Traditions
We collaborate with skilled artisans across India who use time-honored techniques passed down through generations. From handloom weaving to delicate embroidery, each garment is an homage to craftsmanship reinterpreted for the modern wardrobe. This is how we preserve tradition while moving fashion forward.

Where do you ship from, and how long does delivery take?
All De Castro pieces are shipped directly from our studio in India. Due to the artisanal nature of our production, please allow an average of 15 to 18 days for delivery. Your order may arrive sooner, but we believe in slow, thoughtful fashion—crafted and delivered with care. You’ll receive tracking details once your package is on its way.
What is your return and exchange policy?
We want you to be completely satisfied with your De Castro piece. Full details on our returns and exchanges are available on our website. We accept returns within a specified time frame, provided items are unworn, unused, and in their original condition with the safety tag on. Custom-made pieces are final sale and not eligible for return. Please refer to our Returns Policy page for all guidelines and instructions.
How do I know which size to choose?
Our pieces follow an international sizing standard, and each product page includes a detailed Size Chart with measurements for bust, waist, and hips to help you find your ideal fit. Since all our garments are handcrafted, each style may have slightly different measurements depending on the silhouette—but rest assured, the fit will never be smaller than the reference listed on the following standard chart. If you’re unsure or between sizes, our team is always here to assist you in finding the perfect fit.
Do you offer custom sizing or bespoke pieces?
Yes, we do. De Castro proudly offers custom sizing on their designs, as well as made-to-order creations for clients seeking something truly unique. These services are available through our website and come with additional charges. If you have a special request, please reach out to us directly—we are honoured to craft a piece just for you, tailored to your measurements and vision.
Please note: custom-sized or made-to-order pieces are not eligible for returns, exchanges, or refunds, as they are crafted specifically for you.
Are import duties and taxes included in my order?
No. All duties, taxes, and customs fees are the responsibility of the customer and are determined by the destination country. Should you refuse delivery, all related costs—including outbound and return shipping—will be deducted from your refund.
If you prefer not to incur these charges, we recommend cancelling your order before it ships.
For assistance prior to dispatch, our team is here to help.
How should I care for my De Castro piece?
Our garments are crafted from delicate handloom fabrics and dyed using natural, artisanal techniques. These are living textiles—rich in texture and character—designed to be treasured and treated with care.
To preserve their beauty and integrity, we strongly recommend dry cleaning only. Do not wash at home, and avoid soaking, wringing, or exposing the fabric to direct sunlight for extended periods.
For pieces made with ikat or other handwoven textiles, some irregularities in weave or color may appear—these are not flaws, but a mark of authenticity and craftsmanship. Always store your garment in a cool, dry place, preferably folded rather than hung, to protect the shape and fiber.
With the right care, your De Castro Moda piece will remain a timeless part of your wardrobe for years to come.
